  ACE / Boric Car Rental - Smooth and Excellent Experience After some research, I decided to rent from ACE (Boric) car rental. Two reasons: 1. found the best rate ($117 USD - Kia Picanto - Auto with AC for 1 week), 2. I could decline their insurance and use my Credit Card's insurance. Booked it via Expedia. Then emailed them to make sure they be there when I land. They said they will be there based on my flights landing time and sure they were. So far I felt comfortable with their professional email response. When we landed, my family too the free shuttle provided by the Airline to go to the resort. I got out of the airport, turned to the right for couple meters (2 min walk). And as soon as passing the car rental companies' counter, you can see ACE sign with someone saying your name :) The nice driver took me in a 9 seats van with AC to their office. Upon arrival to the office, the agent quickly asked me questions like where I am staying and when I will drop off the car (for the shuttle back to the airport). She just checked my driver license (No passport). Then asked if I take their insurance. I said I am using mine. She said the deposit is $1000 USD. I agreed. They put the hold on my credit card. We went outside. Checked the cars. Marked every single scratch (there were only 3 very small scratches). Checked the gas and off to go. The car was a 2016 year with only 23K KM. It worked great until one day when I wanted to leave to a beach, it didn't want to start. I double checked and no light or any electronic was on but it was obviously the battery. I called the office and the agent said they will send someone right away and surely they did. In less than 1 hour, a gentleman arrived with a BRAND NEW BATTERY. He replaced the battery and made sure everything is fine before leaving. On my 7th day, I dropped off the car by their office. The same agent went over the car and said it is all GOOD to GO! I asked when I will get my deposit back. She said it takes up to 10 days. However, I checked this morning (2nd day) and the money was returned. Then another shuttle back to the airport. My experience with ACE was GREAT. I think they are reliable and very professional. I would highly recommend them and I will def use them again if I go back to Curacao again. Also, I don't know why people pay double this price renting from other car companies. The roads are good in Curacao (Better than Montreal, Canada). Driving is easy and without stress. I still don't know the rule on the roundabouts. It seems people handle it based on politeness (or see if the other car stopped, they enter the roundabout). I didn't see any accident nor experienced any dangerous situation. Everyone on the road was driving carefully. This is an assurance that no one really needs to pay $$ for a forced insurance.   Muito ruim, eles não têm loja no aeroporto, então tive que ficar procurando alguém da empresa na rua, não tem nem uniforme de identificação, procurei por 40 minutos até encontrar alguém, achei a pessoa longe do aeroporto. Também foi bloqueado um valor no meu cartão de crédito, estou esperando a 15 dias já, e ainda não foi liberado para devolver meu dinheiro. Nota 0 pra está empresa, no papel da reserva aparecia ACE CAR. Não alugue com eles.

  It worked, but not very professionally: they came late to bring the car, no apology offered. They forgot to bring the requested baby seat, adding up to more delay: also no apologies offered. Pretty rude treatment also.
