  If you have studied American Jewish history then this place marks the beginning of everything when Jews expelled in the inquisition went to the more tolerant Niederlande Provinzen and hopped onto the great vessel of transatlantic capitalism. The community is small but they do have a Torah salvaged from Spain and a lively synagogue full of connotations.

  the Island of Curacao has a rich Jewish history. There is a small but active community. The museum is worth a visit to learn a good part of the island history. The museum and synagogue are will maintained, as pride in their culture.
